MODELING OF IGBT-CONVERTERS BY INTERCONNECTED SUBSYSTEMS WITH CONSIDERING OF TRANSISTOR SWITCHING TIME

For creation of high-speed computer models of plants with electric machines and semiconductor converters the methodology of system modeling by interconnected subsystems is utilized. The complex of models of different plants was developed in the in-house environment ComSim. Among others the models of IGBT-converters were created. The models were built under certain assumption and simplified performance about systems. In many cases the final time of transistor switching and features of PWM-converters transition to an operation mode with overmodulation are not taken into account. In this paper a mathematical description of the three-phase voltage source inverter with considering of the final time of the transistor switching is presented. A computer model of the plant with the voltage source inverter is built. Calculation results, that proved advisability of described refinements of the inverter model, are presented. The developed mathematical description of the inverter is used for refinement of models of active rectifier, AC-AC converters and another plants, that included in the created model complex.
