REMOVAL OF BIODETERIORATION FROM SURFACE OF STONE MONUMENTS BY MEANS OF LASER TREATMENT. LASER REMOVAL OF MICROSCOPIC ALGAE

Results of experimental studies on development of laser technology for removal of microalgae from stone sur-faces are presented. In the work pulsed solid-state Nd:YAG laser with wavelength of 1064 nm and model samples from marble and sandstone were used. The task on the optimization of laser output parameters for achievement of exposure doses requiring for mechanical ejection and inactivation of different aerial algae species was successfully performed.
