CHU–MCLEAN RELATION BY INTEGRATION OF THE FINITE SPHERE

Presented a new method of deriving the well-known relation Chu–McLean binding radius of the sphere around the electrically small antenna and maximum achievable quality factor. A derivation is simple and is based on the calculation of the flow Poynting vector through a sphere of finite radius and the formation of Q-factor, as the ratio of the real and imaginary part.
